About Emily
Emily Gilchrist is an American contemporary dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Amsterdam. She trained at the Dance Industry Performing Arts Center, DASH Academy, and Regeneration Class/Company, building a foundation in floor work technique, improvisation, composition, and contemporary repertoire.
Emily is a graduate of the European School of Ballet's Contemporary Trainee Program, where she completed her two-year training in 2026. Throughout her time at ESB, she collaborated with notable choreographers including Maurice Causey, Macarena Gonzáles, Jiri Pokorny, Lorraine Blouin, Roslyn Anderson, Allyson Way Wanselius, Michael Fuscaldo, and Jon Ole.
Beyond performing, Emily has taught contemporary classes across all levels at ESB, sharing her expertise in floor work, movement techniques, and improvisation. She is currently creating her first choreographic work for the Contemporary Trainee Program, premiering in 2026.
